December 10, 2014 – In honor of his hard work and 40 years of service, Br. Donald “Don” Murray, SJ, was inducted into Boston College High School’s 2014 Athletics Hall of Fame, which recognizes individuals who have supported the school's athletics program over the years. Br. Don, as he is known by friends and family, was one of the nine honorees to be inducted that evening.

Each year on Dec. 3, Jesuit worldwide celebrate the feast of St. Francis Xavier. Xavier was sent to the East by St. Ignatius as a missionary and would travel to India as well as Japan. Xavier was tasked with preaching the Gospel and is remembered as a patron saint of missions because of his trust in God and zeal to spread the Good News.

McGillycuddy at the annual Jesuit GALA held on May 1 at the Marriott Copley Place Hotel in Boston. The annual award honors those who have made a difference in the world by generously helping others. The evening, which began and ended with songs by special guest Ronan Tynan, was hosted by Fr. James Martin, SJ, author and editor-at-large at America magazine.
