March 15, 2016 - Pope Francis will canonize Mother Teresa on Sept. 4, in Rome later this year. This day is significant because it will be during the celebration of the Jubilee for volunteers and workers of mercy and Mother Theresa has come to be a symbol of God's mercy for the poor and discarded of this world.
March 16, 2016 - In a letter to the parishioners of the Church of Saint Francis Xavier in New York City, Provincial Fr. John Cecero, SJ, announced that Cardinal Timothy Dolan has accepted his nomination of Fr. Robert VerEecke, SJ, as the parish’s next pastor. Fr. VerEecke will begin his new role starting on Aug. 15, 2016.
