December 18, 2014 - The Raskob Foundation for Catholic Activities has awarded the Vocation Office of the Maryland and USA Northeast Provinces of the Society of Jesus with a $50,000 grant for the 2015 Candidacy Program. This grant will be used to expand and enrich programs that provide various opportunities for candidates discerning a Jesuit vocation.
December 17, 2014 – The Ed Sullivan Show was famous for highlighting bands such as the Beatles but it also hosted lesser known musical groups like the Woodstock Jesuit Singers. The group was composed of men in the Society of Jesus who sang and produced a record to help support the seminary in Woodstock, Md.
December 10, 2014 – In honor of his hard work and 40 years of service, Br. Donald “Don” Murray, SJ, was inducted into Boston College High School’s 2014 Athletics Hall of Fame, which recognizes individuals who have supported the school's athletics program over the years. Br. Don, as he is known by friends and family, was one of the nine honorees to be inducted that evening.
December 7, 2014 – Jesuit Connection, a program for young professionals who want to stay connected with Jesuit teachings and values, held its Annual Advent Mass and Reception. The event took place at the newly renovated St. Mary’s Chapel at Boston College. Fr. Peter Folan, SJ, celebrated.
Each year on Dec. 3, Jesuit worldwide celebrate the feast of St. Francis Xavier. Xavier was sent to the East by St. Ignatius as a missionary and would travel to India as well as Japan. Xavier was tasked with preaching the Gospel and is remembered as a patron saint of missions because of his trust in God and zeal to spread the Good News.
December 2, 2014 – Fr. Ignacio Ellacuria, SJ, president of the University of Central America in El Salvador (and one of the six Jesuits and two laywomen murdered 25 years ago) believed that the university must play a critical in interpreting and transforming the structural causes of injustice, using its intellectual gifts to study reality and uncover the truth.

November 26, 2014 — From the Sisters of St. Joseph to the Dominicans, from diocesan priests to Jesuits, religious vocations in the Catholic Church will be celebrated in 2015, which Pope Francis has named as the Year of Consecrated Life.
September 16, 2014 – On Monday September, 15, 2014, Fr. Philip G. Judge, SJ, president of Regis High School, welcomed a large crowd to witness the rededication of Regis as a New York City landmark. Among the crowd were students, faculty members, local media outlets and politicians including U.S. Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) and U.S. Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney (D-NY).
September 3, 2014 – Fr. John Cecero, SJ, provincial of the New York Province of the Society of Jesus, was featured in an article published this week by the Jesuit Conference, in which he speaks about his priestly vocation and his Jesuit assignments as a teacher, counselor of those in need and, most recently, professor of psychology at Fordham University.
June 18, 2014 – Xavier Mission, a nonprofit organization founded by St. Francis Xavier church in New York City which works to serve homeless individuals and families, recently celebrated the graduation of their 37th class of the Life-Skills Training and Empowerment Program (L-STEP).

June 13, 2014 - With great joy and gratitude to God, the Society of Jesus will celebrate the ordinations to the priesthood of Jesuits Mario M. Powell, Samuel J. Sawyer, and Thomas M. Simisky, on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the Fordham University Church.
June 2, 2014 - The New England Province of Jesuits presented the Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam Award to Kathleen M. McGillycuddy at the annual Jesuit GALA held on May 1 at the Marriott Copley Place Hotel in Boston. The annual award honors those who have made a difference in the world by generously helping others. The evening, which began and ended with songs by special guest Ronan Tynan, was hosted by Fr. James Martin, SJ, author and editor-at-large at America magazine.
May 9, 2014 – Domclancy Tiliwebug, this year’s valedictorian of Yap Catholic High School (YCHS) has been awarded the Gates Millennium Scholarship. Out of the 52,000 applicants in the United States and Pacific Region, only 1,000 are chosen for this prestigious scholarship.
